NBIS's first PTA was formed in 2009. The PTA (Parents Teachers Association) was formed primarily to enhance the quality of school life for all NBIS students and their parents by organising fun events, offering support to teaching staff as needed (e.g. school trips or helping with social events) and by helping new families adjust to life in China and the school community.
PTA is usually in the format of a President(s), a Vice President, a Secretary and a Treasurer. This year, four hard-working parents form the core team. All parents and teachers of the school are members of the Association and are welcome to attend all meetings and school events. The meetings are held once a month. It is a perfect way to meet people and make new friends.
The PTA also contributes to the school by organising events where additional funds are raised. These funds are then used to make purchases for the school or used towards the organisation of future school events.
